AlfaOBD offers a demo version of their software designed for diagnosing vehicles manufactured by FCA, including Alfa-Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, Dodge, RAM, Chrysler, and Jeep. Additional coverage is provided for Peugeot (Boxer) and Citroen (Jumper). While the software caters primarily to car owners, it boasts features akin to those found in professional scanners. The complete version delivers an array of diagnostic and configuration procedures reminiscent of dealer-level operations.

The suite of AlfaOBD features encompasses:

• Native support for Electronic Control Units employed in vehicles of the Fiat group, setting it apart from many other diagnostic programs that offer only basic generic OBDII support for Fiat group vehicles.
• Real-time monitoring of dynamic parameters within engine, gearbox, ABS, and climate control ECUs, with graphical representation through plots.
• Data retrieval: ECU identification, system status, fault codes accompanied by potential causes, and relevant environmental information where applicable.
• Clearing of fault codes.
• (Exclusive to full version) Active diagnostic routines and configuration processes for an array of equipment controlled by various ECUs including those in the engine, gearbox, body computer, climate control system, ABS, airbag modules, code control units, and more.
• (Exclusive to full version) Programming capabilities for electronic keys and RF remote controls.

AlfaOBD is compatible with ELM327 and OBDKey Bluetooth interfaces on all Bluetooth-enabled Android devices and with ELM327/OBDKey WLAN interfaces solely on rooted devices. Detailed connection setup instructions are provided in the application help guide.

The application is multilingual, supporting Czech, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, and Spanish languages accessible via Settings.

The demo version is subject to certain limitations:

• A 15-minute runtime limit after which the application will reset to the initial screen upon connection to a control unit.
• Lack of active diagnostic procedures.
• A maximum of four scanned gauges.
• A maximum of four monitored parameters.
